Is there a better tactic? I mean wouldn’t it make sense to get us to believe that our gifts are so common that we might as well not use them?
If everybody can sing, do I really need to as well? There are a lot of good writers, should I write too? Aren’t I just killing the trees using up paper? They already know about that thing, do I need to be another person to tell them?
Aren’t those thoughts tempting? They’re almost sneaky, right? We convince ourselves that we don’t want to add to the number of people that already do these seemingly simple things. When in fact, no one does them the same way.
Even if we all had the same gift, we’d all offer it in a different way.
