Today is the Day

Isn’t it nice to serve a God of love and peace, of grace and mercy, and one of patience and kindness? It’s almost belittling to use those words to describe Him because they don’t fully express all that He is. They just don’t quite get the point across.

I’m grateful for God. He’s so forgiving. And I have to make sure to not use His forgiveness as an excuse for my sin. We all have to be very careful to not do things that we know are wrong just because we know God is forgiving.

We should never take God’s kindness for weakness. History shows that it’s a bad idea to do that. He called us at the right time, and that is to no merit of our own. The least we can do is act right. The way to do that is to get saved. Salvation is the key.

God’s offer still stands. It’s beautiful to know that. Now is the time to do something with it.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (NLT)

For God says,

“At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.”

Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.
